Mastering love of learning through fundamental intrinsic values.
Our country has gone through many cycles in education. From home tutoring to little red schoolhouses, to state schools and our current cycle with active government control in classrooms, policies, curriculum, etc. However, great minds of early America were molded within their homes, tutoring or community schools, fostering a moral environment and love of learning.
Modern microschools closely resemble Little Red Schoolhouses of America’s golden educational age. Only one survives teaching original core fundamental values for mankind:
The Glenn J. Kimber Academy is a place where parents come together, sharing their time and talents in educating children in these values, using academics as a tool. Modern education stresses parents, leading them to believe children's successes are based on academic accolades. Kimber Academy’s mission is for students to master a love of learning, then academic mastery becomes natural and enjoyable.
“It really does work”, says Jessica Bianco, the Academy’s National Director, and local Lindon Academy owner. Jessica has been at Kimber for nearly 6 years where all 4 of her children attend. “I was looking for a place where biblical morality mattered; that really was my priority. When I was invited to teach, it blew my mind! The curriculum testifies of truth in every subject. To me that is priceless.”
Currently, Kimber Academy has an affordable model and is ready to expand. Jessica urges: “We need parents who believe in the fundamental values.”
“Their teaching method is amazing! I could see my children's behaviors change and they started loving to learn after weeks of the principle being put into place. The school taught me so much and also gave me the confidence to now homeschool using their curriculum.”
